Meet John

Hi, I'm John Krajewski.

I'm a husband, father, public school educator, former law enforcement officer, and lifelong resident of the Third Ward. I'm running for City Commission because I love our city and I want to give back to the community that's given my family and I so much.

Background + Education

I am a lifelong resident of Grand Rapids and the Third Ward. I attended St. Paul School and Catholic Central High School. Later, I earned my Bachelor of Arts and Master in Education degrees from Aquinas College and Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from Western Michigan University.

Personal

I am proud to be a husband to my wife of 22 years (Sarah). We've raised three children together, including two sons in college and our daughter, a high school senior.

Professional

I have spent the last 21 years working in public education, including the last 14 as a middle and elementary school principal.


Prior to my work in education, I served five years as a Grand Rapids Police Officer and eleven years as a seasonal deputy for the Kent County Sheriff's Office.
